The first world-class Japanese signature Les Paul in vivid canary yellow
The Gibson Tak Matsumoto Les Paul Canary Yellow was introduced in 1999 as a signature model of B'z guitarist Takahiro Matsumoto. It was the first Japanese artist model to be officially certified by Gibson USA, and its existence itself is a historical one.
This model has a high-class feel with its bright canary yellow finish, black body binding, and Avalon inlays. The solid mahogany back and maple top give it a tight and powerful sound. The neck is a '59-style round profile, inheriting the royal grip of vintage Les Pauls.
The pickups are specially designed Burstbuckers to suit Matsumoto's playing style. The character, which combines thick core distortion with a crisp mid-high range, is suitable for a wide range of playing styles, from lead to rhythm.
This is a limited production model that is hard to find nowadays, and is coveted not only by fans but also by vintage Gibson collectors. It is a rare and highly sought-after model for both players and collectors.
There are some dents on the body near the signature.
Also, there are some weather checks on the top surface around the pickups and the controls.
The neck is in good condition and there are no problems with playability, although there are other overall signs of use such as scratches, dents, and dull metal parts.
