11-2800005487053
[SN 1143] USED Katayama Guitar / KE13 Natural [11]
An electro-acoustic model that captures the natural acoustic resonance of an unamplified guitar—a product of original design

The Katayama Guitar KE-13, featuring a unique design by a Japanese luthier, is an electro-acoustic guitar focused on reproducing a natural sound when amplified. Unlike typical under-saddle pickups, it employs an SMPU pickup mounted on the top of the body, which captures not only the vibration of the strings but also the resonance of the entire body, delivering a natural sound rich in airiness.

The classic combination of a solid Sitka spruce top with rosewood sides and back ensures the rich fullness and wide dynamic range characteristic of a Dreadnought, even when played acoustically. When plugged in, it produces a soft, three-dimensional tone that minimizes the harshness often associated with piezo pickups, making it ideal for singer-songwriter performances, live streaming, and recording.

This guitar is highly recommended for players who have found the sound of electro-acoustic guitars unnatural or who seek a sound closer to an acoustic instrument.

There is slight clouding visible on the sides of the body.
There are other signs of wear, such as scratches and dents.
The neck is in good condition, and the guitar plays well.
Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches are present, but they do not affect normal use

Serial Number: 1143
Case: Soft case
Truss Rod: No issues; checked up to 60 degrees to the left and right with no problems
Remaining Fret Life: Within normal range; fret height is sufficient for playing
String Height (Low String Side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret
String Action (Treble Side): 1.2 mm at the 12th fret
Nut width: 43.2 mm
Neck thickness near the 1st fret: 20.3 mm
Scale: 648 mm (25.5")
RADIUS: 381 mm (15")
Strings at Setup: D'Addario EJ-16 / .012-.053 set
Repairs and Maintenance: Cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, action adjustment, and leveling

* As this is a used item, there may be scratches, dents, and other imperfections that are not clearly visible in the photos or not listed here.
