11-2800005701296
[SN 520375] USED Gibson / 1968 ES-345 TD Cherry [11]
A high-end semi-acoustic Gibson model manufactured at the Kalamazoo factory in 1968.

Based on the ES-335, this model features stereo output, a Vari-Tone circuit, and gold hardware. It combines a semi-acoustic body made of maple laminate with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. Its decorative elements—such as the double parallelogram inlays and crown inlay on the headstock—are unique to the ES-345 and add to its appeal.

It is equipped with two Gibson humbucker pickups. In addition to two volume and two tone controls, it features a 6-position Varitone switch, allowing for a wide range of tone variations via the filter circuit. It also supports stereo output, and its electrical configuration—which differs from that of the standard ES-335—is another defining feature of this model. The electronics are believed to be original and retain much of the specifications from the time of manufacture.

The bridge features an ABR-1 with nylon saddles. The combination with the trapeze tailpiece is also a specification unique to this era.

Serial number 520375, Cherry finish. This is a charming vintage guitar that combines the distinctive character of a late-’60s Gibson with the unique mechanics of the ES-345.
The entire body shows signs of fading due to age, and the Cherry color has evolved into a subdued, mature tone. Along with the weather checking visible throughout the body and the rust and tarnish on the metal parts, it boasts a rich, distinctive appearance unique to a vintage instrument that has stood the test of time.
Since the pots are covered, the date could not be verified.

The tuning pegs are stiff, and since this did not improve even after applying grease, it is evident that they have deteriorated over time.
There is a dent on the side of the body. There is paint chipping on the back corner of the headstock. Additionally, there are some minor scratches and dents.
The neck shows no noticeable issues and is in good playing condition.

Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches are present, but the instrument is in good playing condition for normal use

Serial Number: 520375
Country of Manufacture: United States
Case: Hard Case
Weight: 3.74 kg
Truss Rod: No issues; checked up to 60 degrees to the left and right with no problems
Remaining Fret Height: Note: While the frets can still be filed down, they are on the low side
String Height (Low String Side): 2.0 mm at the 12th fret
String Action (Treble Side): 1.5 mm at the 12th fret
Nut width: 39.3 mm
Neck thickness near the 1st fret: 20.0 mm
Neck thickness near the 12th fret: 23.8 mm
Scale: 624 mm (24.56")
RADIUS: 305 mm (12")
Strings at Setup: GHS / .010-.046 set
Repairs and Maintenance Performed: Cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, action adjustment, electronics repair

* As this is a used item, there may be scratches, dents, and other imperfections that are not clearly visible in the photos or not listed here.
