USED C.F.Martin / HD-28P made in 1987 [12]

This is an 80s Martin that is rumored to be of high quality, and this one is from the latter half of the 1980s, when it is much closer to recent models. The "P" in the model name indicates a low-profile neck, but this was the shape that would later become the regular grip, meaning it was "thin" for its time. The deeply machined scalloped bracing makes it sound surprisingly light. The herringbone trim also satisfies the yearning for pre-war.

In terms of condition, the body binding has all been rewound. In doing so, the surface lacquer has been peeled off and only the binding looks brand new. There are cracks in the center of the top, the bottom of the 6th string side, and the top of the 6th string side to the center of the back, but they have been properly patched and repaired. The nut, saddle, and bridge pins have been replaced, and there is little white remaining on the saddle. The end pins have been replaced with conversion pins. There are a couple of dents on the back of the neck due to paint reaction. There are marks on the bridge where it has been re-stretched. The sound after 35 years of production is still good. Comes with a non-genuine hard case.
