While US vintage is soaring in price, this maker is still affordable!
Made in 1975, this jumbo guitar has a 17-inch full-size body made of maple with a distinctive arched back. The sound is heavy because of the weight of this age, which is not to mention the weight of the body, and it sounds as if it is transmitted to the body. The maple + plywood construction allows the sound to decay quickly, making it suitable for cutting and quick picking. The Guild has a large body, so it is a versatile guitar that produces a full sound even when played with the fingerboard.

The neck binding has been peeled off and has been reattached. The nut and saddle have been replaced, and there are traces of liquid that dripped when the nut was replaced. The bridge pins have also been replaced, and an L.R. Baggs / Element VTC has been retrofitted. There are also scratches on the P.G. and near the soundhole from picking, and overall there are weather checks and scratches commensurate with the age of the guitar.

1975年製の本器は17インチのフルサイズボディにメイプル材を使用したジャンボギターで、特徴的なアーチバックが目を惹きます。言わずもがなこの年代は重量がある為、サウンドも重たく、ゴンゴン体に伝わるように鳴ってくれます。メイプル+合板なので音の減衰が早く、カッティングや素早いピッキングにも対応してくれます。とはいえボディサイズが大きいのでフィンガーでもふくよかなサウンドを出力してくれる万能な面も持ち合わせたギターです。Gibson、Martinと共に一時代を築き上げたGuild、伝統的なサウンドを楽しみたいなら間違いない一本です。

コンディションですが、ネックバインディングが一度剥がれており張り直されています。また、ナットとサドルが交換されておりナット交換時に液垂れした跡が残っております。ブリッジピンも交換されており、L.R.Baggs / Element VTC が後付されています。その他P.G.とサウンドホール付近にピッキングによる傷、全体的にウェザーチェックや年式相応の傷がございます。
