The monica is Virtues flagship model, a rare overdrive that can match any guitar/amp.


It has a very classical design in terms of circuit detail and fundamentals, but with a JFET input op-amp, it maintains a level of modern expressiveness and range. Furthermore, as a result of searching for the ideal clipping element, which is the core of the saturation, a bipolar transistor, which is rarely seen in pedals, was adopted as a diode element instead of a Si diode, Ge diode, or FET.

The use of this device as a clipping element has made it possible to obtain a creamy saturation without sacrificing touch response. Combined with the aforementioned JFET input op-amps, the result is a slightly hysterical mid-range with a good punch that will not get buried in an ensemble.


A Low Boost control is located on the top side of the chassis. This control is located after the gain stage in the circuitry, so it can be adjusted to suit your guitar amp without changing the center of gravity or core thickness of the distortion. The monica has a natural saturation without breaking down, and can be used as a main overdrive or as a push for other pedals or amplifiers, in any situation.


The LED indicator changes color depending on the battery level, making it easy to use for users who want to use their distortion pedals on batteries.

回路のディティール、大元としては非常にクラシカルなデザインを有しつつも、JFET入力オペアンプを採用し、現代的な表現力、レンジ感を水準を保っております。 更に、サチュレーションの核となるクリッピング素子として、理想的な物を探した結果、Siダイオード・Geダイオード・FETのどれでもなく、ダイオード素子として採用されたペダルを殆ど見ない、バイポーラトランジスタを採用をしました。

この素子をクリッピングとして使用した結果、タッチに対するレスポンスを犠牲にせず、それでいてクリーミーなサチュレーションを得る事が可能になりました。先述したJFET入力オペアンプとの組み合わせにより、少しヒステリックな、抜けの良いミドルレンジを持つことが出来、アンサンブルの中でも埋もれません。

又、筐体上部側面にはLow Boost のコントロールを搭載。このコントロールは回路上ゲインステージ以降にある為、歪みの重心、芯の太さを変化させずに、お使いのギター・アンプに併せて調整が可能。ピッキング、ボリュームコントロール、使用するギターによって多彩な表情を見せながら、破綻せずナチュラルなサチュレーションを持つmonicaは、メインのオーバードライブとしても、他のペダルや、アンプのプッシュとしても、どのような状況でも活躍します。
