03-1mbzmezc9-0817
[SN 0817] KIKUCHI GUITARS / Hermes MV5 Trans Sonic Blue [03]
Hermes Series

Yoshiyuki Kikuchi, who served as Chief Luthier at the Sadowsky Tokyo branch and recently launched Three Dots Guitars.
Combining a wealth of ideas—including the know-how gained from years of instrument-making and collaborations with numerous musicians—Mr. Kikuchi has created “Kikuchi Guitars,” a brand that represents the culmination of his career.

The “Hermes” series is designed to be accessible to a wider range of players.
While maintaining its proven quality, the series offers affordable prices by limiting certain specifications and color options.
Key Features
・Neck
To produce optimal tone and weight balance during play, the neck has been reinforced for strength, and the headstock has been made thicker.
With a nut width narrower than that of a standard J-style guitar and a neck grip that retains just enough thickness for durability and playability while remaining easy to grip, you can play smoothly from low to high positions, as well as mute the wide 5th string.
Since the string action is uniformly set up across all fret positions, the instrument faithfully conveys the player’s expression—from powerful picking to delicate fingering.

・Body
It features a redesigned Dinky shape tailored for Japanese body types, ensuring stress-free playing. The solid body not only offers excellent maneuverability but also provides a moderate weight that produces a resonant tone and a wide range of expressive capabilities. The MV model is crafted from ash, featuring a dry, punchy tone in addition to the light, crisp sound of the maple fingerboard.

・Pickup & Preamp
Equipped with a DiMarzio custom model (hum-canceling specification)—also used in the Custom Series—to deliver a sharp, punchy sound with low noise.
Furthermore, it features an original preamp developed in collaboration with one of the world’s leading design firms. When boosted, the low and high frequencies rise clearly and naturally, and this practical design minimizes any perceptible difference in volume and tone quality when switching between passive and active modes.
S/N: 817
Weight: 4.04 kg
JAN: 4571220089961
Accessories: Semi-hard case, adjustment wrench

Brand: Kikuchi Guitars
Series: Hermes Series (MV Model / 5-String)
Body Material: 2-Piece Ash (Solid)
Body Finish: Poly
Neck Material: Maple
Neck Finish: Thin Matte Nitro
Scale Length: 34" (864 mm)
Fingerboard Material: Maple
Fingerboard Radius: 12" (305R)
Number of Frets: 22, DHP24H
Nut Material/Width: Tusq / 46 mm
Bridge: Hipshot (19 mm Spacing)
Tuning Machines: Hipshot License Ultra-Light
Pickups: DiMarzio 5HC (in '60s Locations)
Preamp: Kikuchi Guitars Original Preamp
Controls: Master Volume, Pickup Balancer, Passive Roll-Off Tone (with pull switch for preamp bypass), Treble/Bass Boost
Hardware Finish: Chrome
Case/Gig Bag: Semi-Hard Case
Country of Origin: Japan

* This is a one-of-a-kind item that is listed simultaneously on multiple marketplaces, including our in-store display.
