Rare Shade Top D-28!"

This product was made in 1976, when even the youth of Japan were excited about the bicentennial of the founding of the United States of America. Martin was also a coveted American item. Here is a rare one from that era. Shade top D-28.
There are some dents, scratches, scuffs, paint deterioration (cloudiness), and satin paint glare on the neck, but considering the age of the instrument, the appearance is relatively clean. There are no Martin cracks.
A Shadow SH2500E contact pickup (passive) is affixed to the back of the bridge. There are two putty residue on the bridge plate.
The neck angle was corrected and refretted, a new saddle was made, and a new pickguard was made at our affiliated repair store. The pickguard has been painted to bring it closer to the original image.
Both playability and sound are perfect. It has the horsepower typical of the D-28s of this era, but the low end is not overly full and the sound is well balanced. The case is made by Martin, but comes with a black hard case from a later era than the guitar itself.
The shaded top is both elegant and austere, making it a pleasure to own. Recommended.

「稀少なシェイド・トップのD-28！」

日本の若者までもがアメリカ建国200年に沸いた1976年の製品。マーティンも憧れのアメリカン・アイテムでした。その時代のレアな一本がこちら。シェイド・トップのD-28です。
打痕、引っ掻き傷、擦り傷、塗膜の劣化(曇り)、ネックのサテン塗装のてかりなどが確認できますが、年式を考慮すれば比較的綺麗な外観を維持していると言えましょう。マーティン・クラックの発生はありません。
ShadowのSH2500Eと思しきコンタクト・ピックアップ(パッシブ)がブリッジ裏に貼られています。位置決めに迷った形跡があり、パテの残りがブリッジ・プレート上に二箇所確認できます。
当店提携先のリペア・ショップにてネックのアングル修正とリフレット、サドルの新規作成、ピックガードの新規作成をいたしました。ピックガードは塗装を施してあり、オリジナルのイメージに近づけるようにしてあります。
演奏性、サウンドともに申し分ありません。この時代のD-28らしい馬力を感じさせながらも低域が必要以上に膨らみすぎず、バランスの良い鳴り方をしてくれます。ケースはマーティン製ですが、ギター本体より後の時代の黒のハード・ケースが付属します。
シェイド・トップが上品であり、そして渋さもあり、持つ喜びも味わせてくれる逸品です。お勧めの一本。
