Signature model of bluegrass banjo establisher Earl Scruggs!

As a member of Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys, Earl Scruggs established the bluegrass style 5-string banjo. Earl Scruggs' style became widely known through his work with Lester Flatt's bluegrass band, Flatt & Scruggs, the country rock band he formed with his sons, Earl Scruggs Review, and through his session work with the Byrds and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. This banjo is based on Earl's favorite Granada, and features a curly maple resonator and neck, and an ebony fingerboard.
In hand, some minor dings, light abrasions, and slight paint cloudiness and deterioration can be seen. These are not noticeable. The plating on the metal parts is also dull and cloudy, but it remains more or less shiny. Considering the age of the instrument, it can be said that it has maintained an acceptable appearance.
A banjo player repairman has done the setup. The angle has been adjusted by placing rosewood shims between the neck and rim. The neck is in proper condition, and has no habits that are often seen in curly maple. The frets are still approximately 80% high, and both playability and sound are perfect.

The case comes with a non-genuine semi-hard case, but one of the two lid closures is missing a knob.
Gibson has long since ceased production of banjos, and used ones are becoming increasingly popular. Don't miss out.

ブルーグラスの始祖、ビル・モンローのブルーグラス・ボーイズの一員としてブルーグラス・スタイルの5弦バンジョーを確立。そしてレスター・フラットと組んだブルーグラス・バンド、フラット＆スクラッグス、さらに息子達と結成したカントリー・ロック・バンド、アール・スクラッグス・レビューでの活動や、バーズやニッティ・グリッティ・ダート・バンドらとのセッション・ワークを通じて、そのスタイルを広く世に知らしめたアール・スクラッグス。そのアールのシグネチャー・モデルがこちらです。アールが愛用したグラナダをベースにしたバンジョーで、カーリー・メイプルのリゾネーターとネック、エボニーの指板をフィーチャー。
手に取ってみると、若干の細かい打痕や軽い擦り傷、僅かな塗膜の曇りや劣化が確認できます。目立つものではございません。金属部品のメッキにくすみや曇りの発生も見られますが、多少なりとも光沢感は残っています。年式を考慮すれば、まずまずの外観を維持していると言えるでしょう。
バンジョー・プレイヤーのリペアマンがセットアップをいたしました。ネックとリムの間にローズウッドのシムを挟んで角度調整を施してあります。ネックの状態は適正で、カーリー・メイプルに見られがちな癖はございません。フレットの高さは8割前後残っており、演奏性、サウンドともに申し分ありません。
なお、5弦の釘打ちはなされておりません。ご要望があれば無償で釘打ちをいたします。その際は10日から2週間ほどお時間を頂戴いたします。ご了承くださいませ。
非純正のセミ・ハード・ケースが付属しますが、蓋の二つの開閉ファスナーのうち一つのツマミが欠損しています。
ギブソンがバンジョーの生産を休止して久しく、中古品の人気が高まっています。お見逃しないように。

All items we sell are USED and comes as shown in the pictures so there may be marks of use. All items were tested by our store staff and we test each item one more time before shipping them out to make sure they are fully functional.
