It has a Cuban mahogany neck, mother-of-pearl bird inlays, and a high-grade spec configuration with USA-made 58/15LT pickups!

S2 Series
Named for the second production line "Stevensville 2" built in the PRS factory in Stevensville, Maryland, the S2 series is a new price point lineup that combines new production methods with superior quality control and manufacturing techniques. The S2 series has grown significantly in business over the past decade, and part of the manufacturing process has now been integrated into the Core and Bolt-On model production lines.

The S2 series was created in 2013 as a simpler, more straightforward expression of PRS's guitar-making skills, experience, and attention to detail. The newest model is the S2 McCarty 594.
The 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 is a special model to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the S2 series.

This S2 McCarty 594 retains the basic specs of the previous models, such as maple top, mahogany back, 24.594" scale, 22 frets, pattern vintage neck, and PRS 2-piece bridge, but with the special specifications of the anniversary model, The neck is made of Cuban mahogany with mother-of-pearl bird inlays and is equipped with USA-made 58/15LT pickups.
PRS has spent a great deal of time researching pickups, including sound and design, and the 58/15LT pickups, which have gone through the TCI process, are inspired by vintage sounds, with the clarity and subtlety of vintage single-coil pickups and the warmth of late 1950s humbuckers. The 58/15LT pickup was designed to have the transparency and subtlety of a vintage single coil, but with the warmth of a late 1950's humbucker.
The pickups also have a mellow midrange, and the perfectly balanced high and low frequencies intertwine with it to create a lively, organic sound.

The 10th Anniversary S2 McCarty 594 will be produced in a limited edition of only 1,000 pieces.
