A rare Martin archtop that does not appear very often on the market. This instrument is the "C-1" model, which was manufactured for only 11 years from 1931 to 1942.
It has a spruce and mahogany body, and the outside dimensions are 15 inches, equivalent to a flat-top triple-oh shape.
The specs are a bit later, as several years have passed since the initial 31 years.
The head logo is a decal logo instead of a vertical logo, and the sound hole is an F hole instead of a round hole.
The shade color (sunburst) is used, and it has a cool and austere appearance.

Since this model is over 80 years old, there are some scratches and dents on the whole guitar, but there is no fatal damage and it is still in existence.
There is a horizontal line on the left side of the body that appears to be a crack, but when we checked it, there was no penetration of the wood and it was a scratch.
The body back center seam has probably been glued and repaired in the past. The body and neck appear to have been slightly oversprayed overall.

The neck is slightly warped and bent at the waist, but it is not in need of repair and is in good condition.
The bridge has been replaced and the saddle string height can be adjusted with a dial. Currently, it is set up with the lowest string height, which is a modern string height.
If you are looking for an old style string height, you may want to raise the string height a little more.
The pegs have been replaced with Grover open back type.
A pickguard should have been included with the instrument, but unfortunately it is missing.
Other consumable parts such as refretting and nut replacement have been done in the past. The low frets are dented, but there is no sound clogging.

The condition of this guitar is described in various ways, but overall, it is a beautiful vintage guitar considering its age.
This is a very rare model with very few copies in circulation. Please consider it. It comes with a hard case that seems to be non-genuine and has passed its age.
Item rank: B: Fairly scratched and used, but no problem in normal use.
