USED FENDER / 1965 Electric XII Sunburst [05]

We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 1966 Fender Electric XII.

This Fender 12-string model was produced from about 1965-69. It may be fresh in your mind that it was reissued around 2019 with some design changes.
It is said that this model was not very popular at that time, but now it is a rare model that has been reevaluated and has strong popularity.
The Electric XII is an important model in Fender's history, as it was newly designed for this model, while other 12-string electric guitars at the time of its development were based on existing shapes.
The head is also called "Hockey Stick Head" because of its unique shape, which gives it a different look from the Snake Head Telecaster.

The serial number on the plate is 106518 and it was made in 1965. The neck date is "12OCT65C" and it was manufactured on October 12, 1965.
It is equipped with the double line cruson pegs that are characteristic of the early models.
The patent number on the decal is missing and cannot be confirmed, but the neck date is stamped on the decal, so it was definitely made in 1965.
The nut and frets have been replaced and the entire neck has been overcoated.

Pickup dates are 1965 for both front and rear. The volume pot has been replaced but the tone pot is original and made in 1965.
The capacitors are Circle D. Overall, many original parts remain.

It should be noted that the sunburst finish usually has a tortoiseshell pickguard, but this one has a rare pearloid pickguard.
This is one of the few models with this specification among the few manufactured.

The operation is good, and the guitar is still in good condition for active use.

In recent years, there have been some '66 guitars on the market, but '65 guitars are extremely rare, and there is no guarantee that you will be able to find one of these rare guitars again.
