Gibson Custom Shop / Limited Run Les Paul Standard Tom Murphy Painted & Aged A Murphy Masterpiece.

This 2017 model is called "A Murphy Masterpiece" and was completely supervised by Tom Murphy himself, including wood selection, painting, aging, and other details, to realize his ideal Les Paul. This model is limited to 120 pieces worldwide.

The Sunburst Les Paul is the embodiment of the ideal of the Sunburst Les Paul in terms of sound, looks, and playability, including the figure, top carving shape, burst, neck shape, and weight balance, as well as the use of customized parts from the player's perspective.

The glamorous carving, which is higher and lower than the flagship model of the time, the True Historic, reveals a beautiful body shape when the light reflects off it. The top material was carefully selected by Tom Murphy, who is an expert on vintage Les Pauls, and shows various expressions depending on the angle.

The coloring and aging process is a combination of the coloring of the wood with the shading of the figures, the sunburst color layer with multiple colors overlapping each other, and the clear layer on the candy-colored top, which is hand-sprayed and analyzed at each step of the process. The elaborate aging process, which can be called the quintessence of Tom Murphy's work, creates an exceptional atmosphere.

Updates from the player's perspective include a cream-painted metal jack plate and an ABR-1 bridge with rounded edges.

Burst fans will also be pleased to know that this model features the original serial numbers 91001-91120, which are unique to this model.

The slightly slender Murphy Medium C-Shape neck shape provides just the right amount of grip, and the rolled fingerboard edges, similar to those on True Historic guitars, give the guitar great playing comfort. This is a point that we would like you to actually hold the actual instrument in your hands and feel it for yourself. You will experience the feeling of being "made to play".

This model has been aged, so we cannot judge the condition of scratches, but we can say that there are almost no signs of use, and it is in excellent condition.

It does not come with the True Historic parts jack plate, but all other certificates, Pre-Pack Checklist, plates, and papers are included.
