This LS-17 is based on the L-5CES and has the same 17" body size.
Although it is a bit larger than the ES-175 (16"), the body thickness is 2 3/4" (approx. 7cm), which reduces the stress caused by the large body when holding the guitar and provides an exquisite fit.
The body is made of "5-ply laminate flame maple," which is resistant to feedback, which is common in full-size full acoustic guitars, and can be used for band sounds.
Like the L-5CES, the neck is also 25.5 inches long, providing a bouncy tone and tension feel. The neck is 1pcs maple with a 14-fret joint. It boasts outstanding strength not found in other brands. The fingerboard is made of ebony, which is clear and has good rise. The position marks are only on the side of the neck, combining sophistication and practicality. The neck shape is relatively thin and has few peculiarities, which should be acceptable to many players.

There are scratches, scuffs, line scratches, and dents on the body. There is a small scratch on the edge of the pickguard, and there are some small and large dents scattered on the top of the body under the sound hole on the 6th string side. There are some scratches and dings around each knob, and some fine scratches are scattered around the lower perimeter of the body top. There are large and small dents mainly around the left neck of the body side, and the paint is peeling just a little. There are scratches around the bridge area caused by the bridge moving. The lower right side of the body is dotted with dents, and there are scratches around the body end jack as if a plug tip had been hit against it. There are scratches around the lower right side of the body back, and there are also scratches and dings scattered around the lower perimeter of the body. The lower right edge of the back of the head has a small peel of paint, the size of a sesame seed, and there are scratches on the tip of the back of the head. The top of the head has some fine scratches as if the top of the head was hit with the tip of a string. There are no noticeable signs of use on any of the hardware.

The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned and adjusted in the direction to tighten. The frets are about 80% full, with no noticeable string marks. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 6th string side at the 12th fret and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

Overall, there are some buckle scratches, minor dents and scuffs, but no noticeable signs of use. Sound impression: The sound is resilient and has a good speedy sound with a good rise, as is typical of maple necks. The sound quality is refined and of high quality, without the traditional roundness and exasperation. However, if you master the volume and tone controls, you can get close to the traditional tone! The tone is clean without excessive lows, yet it also has a rich full-acoustic tone, giving it an urban and modern impression. This is the first choice for those who are concerned about the individual differences and age-related changes found in the high street brands, and who have been unable to decide on a full-fledged main full acoustic.
Considering the fact that there are only a few in circulation and production costs are increasing every year, this price is a great deal.
