The 330 is the most popular of Rickenbacker's full-size semi-acoustic models, which are handmade and rarely distributed.

The pickups feature dot position marks and "R" tailpiece, and are mounted with moderate output pickups that are easy to use for any genre of music. The pickups are not height-adjustable, but are adjusted by 2 volume/2 tone controls with a volume balancer between the two pickups.

The output is standard mono, and the 24-fret fingerboard (10 "R) is completely exposed from the body, making it extremely easy to play. The neck shape is Gibson's familiar 24 3/4" medium scale, neither too thick nor too thin, with relatively few quirks.

While respecting tradition, it also shows modern evolution with the use of Schaller pegs and strap pins in the form of Schaller lock pin receptacles. This is a recommended instrument that can handle everything from the so-called "Liverpool sound" with reverb, to clear arpeggios, crisp cutting, and lead sounds with drive.

There are some stand burns on the head, but there is no problem with playability.
