06-2800005277869
[SN F08727] USED MUSIC MAN / BONGO 4 SH Egyptian Smoke [06]
MusicMan’s second-most iconic model after the StingRay! A used 4-string Bongo has just arrived!

MusicMan is known for producing numerous traditional and distinctive models that stand apart from jazz and Precision basses.
The model we’ve just received is the Bongo, featuring a design meticulously engineered based on ergonomics.

It features a basswood body, a maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. Its iconic double-cutaway design is sure to catch your eye. The finish is “Egyptian Smoke,” a color that’s already been discontinued. It has a subdued look that’s somewhere between gray and gold. The pickups are configured in a SH pattern.
The controls include a Master Volume knob, a Pickup Balancer, and separate HI Mid/Low Mid and Treble/Bass controls, all arranged in a stacked configuration. It gives the impression of a highly versatile, all-around instrument. While it’s just as powerful as the StingRay, it allows for more nuanced sound shaping.

The bridge, strap pins, and nut have been replaced. While there is some discoloration on the parts and faint scratches visible overall, there are no scratches that significantly detract from the appearance.
Additionally, there are four holes drilled near the rear pickup, and the bottom edge of the pickguard has been cut off. It appears that some sort of controller for operating effects was previously mounted on the body of the instrument.
The neck is in good condition as is. The truss rod functions properly. There is ample fret life remaining, so it can be considered in excellent condition.

A model that enjoys enduring popularity!
