The AZ-N Series is a 22-fret SSH model in the "AZ" series, a lineup of models for all users with a new interpretation of the traditional Ibanez specifications.

The AZ-N Series is equipped with Seymour Duncan Fortuna pickups developed exclusively for the AZ-N Series, and features a rosewood fingerboard that is only used on the AZ-N Series.
The neck form is also compound-radius, which greatly improves playability.

Rosewood fretboard with Stainless Frets
Rosewood, which is known for its balanced sound character and warm tone, is used for the first time in the AZ.

Compared to the Hyperion(TM) pickups developed in collaboration with Seymour Duncan(R) for the AZ-N, these pickups were developed for a more natural clean tone that can be used in a wide range of genres, and for ease in producing playing nuances:

This medium output pickup is designed to be compatible with a variety of pedal effects that can be used in different situations.
In combination with the Alter switch, two single coil pickups can be wired in series.
The dyna-MIX 9 creates 9 different sound variations, including a mode in which two single coil pickups are wired in series.
(The Dyna-MIX 9 switching system allows for nine different sound variations, including a mode in which the two single-coil pickups are wired in series, in combination with an Alter switch.
