This 400 snare drum features a seamless shell made of "Radialoy" plated aluminum, and has a unique light sound and mid-range presence.

The 60's version is particularly mild and has been used by drummers of various genres, and you can feel more why it continues to be called the standard of metal snares.

The serial number is 250228, and it is estimated to be from around 1965-66 (no inner printing).
Overall, there are some scratches, stains, and other signs of age and use.
Also, this is a baseball bat type mute from this period, but it is highly likely that this one has been replaced with a late 60s-70s type.
The hoop has probably been replaced with a late 60's type (genuine LUDWIG).

Although there is some peeling of the plating, which is common for this year, it is not that battered and the condition of the plating does not seem to be that bad.
However, the shell is a little distorted, and there is an impression that the tuning is a little quirky, but
The sound itself is rich and practical enough depending on the tuning control, and the sound is good.

アルミにメッキした「ラディアロイ」のシームレスシェルを採用し、独特のライトなサウンドとミットレンジの存在感を発揮する400スネアドラムです。

60年代の個体はとりわけマイルドさが際立っており、様々なジャンルのドラマーから愛用されており、メタルスネアのスタンダードの言われ続ける所以を、より感じる事ができると思います。

シリアルが250228で、1965-66年頃のものと推測されます(インナーの印字は無し)
全体的に傷、汚れ等の経年使用感か感じられます。
また、この時期はベースボールバットタイプのミュートですが、こちらは60年代後期～70年代タイプに交換されている可能性が高いです。
フープは60年代後期のタイプ(LUDWIG純正ですが)に交換されていると思われます。

この年式にありがちなメッキの剥がれも若干見られるものの、そこまでボロボロになっておらず、メッキの状態はそこまで悪くななさそうです。
ただシェルが少し歪んでおり、チューニングにやや癖がある印象ですが
鳴り自体は豊かでチューニングのコントロール次第では十分実用的、サウンドは良好です。

All items we sell are USED and comes as shown in the pictures so there may be marks of use. All items were tested by our store staff and we test each item one more time before shipping them out to make sure they are fully functional.
