The EHB body design is ergonomically designed to fit the player in perfect balance whether standing or seated.
The horns are shaped to balance the body and neck for easy holding when playing standing, and the body curve on the treble string side was designed with particular emphasis on fit and balance when playing seated.
The surface of the body has been contoured to create a sloping surface where the elbow meets the body. The body edges that come into contact with the body are all smooth and rounded.
The back of the body is boldly cut to become thinner toward the bass strings. This is designed to enhance the fit when playing while seated and to allow for the angle of the eye when looking at the fingerboard inlays.
In addition, the back of the horn on the treble string side is cut in a scooped shape to facilitate access to the high frets.
Chambering for a more sensuous feel of the body's sound
As with the hollow body, the player can feel the vibrations inside the body as it is, which allows the player to be more aware of the "sound" he or she is making.
This also leads to a slight weight reduction.

Ibanez Original "T1" Pickups

This is a humbucker with two original separate coils, designed for a sound with a tight response in the lower register, a punchy midrange, and clear treble. The rounded cover edge is designed for easy finger placement, and the two pickups are slightly offset so that their ends are nearly parallel to the strings, providing a level of playability not found on other multi-scale models. The height of each pickup can be adjusted individually.

Vari-Mid 3-Band EQ w/EQ bypass switch

As the abbreviation of "Variable frequency control for Mid EQ" indicates, this EQ provides flexible mid control (powered by 006P batteries).
Normally, a 3-band EQ is divided into 3 bands like HIGH/MID/LOW, and the developer can control the focus of the frequency range specified by the user, boosting or cutting the mid frequency. The Vari-Mid allows the user to arbitrarily set the mid focus.
The mid-peak has a variable range from around 100Hz to around 6000Hz, each with a boost/cut range of approximately 15dB.
For example, the mid can be set to 100Hz, which is roughly in the bass register, and boosted to compensate for the lack of bass.

Finger Ramps Included.

Finger lamps are useful for improving playability by providing a stable form in any position.
The EHB series comes with a matte black wood board that can be used as a finger ramp, and is specially shaped to match the number of strings and scale of each EHB series model.

Double-sided tape is preattached to the back of the included finger lamps, which are attached to the body with double-sided tape. When removing the attached finger lamps, the paint on the body surface may be damaged. Please be careful when removing the finger lamps.
The customer is responsible for attaching and removing the finger lamps.
