The Hiscolle 1963 model has a space for wiring beside the cavity, but this one has a solid center block like the 1959 model. The Hiscolle 63 model tends to sound rather airy and light, but this model has a stronger impression of a core and powerful sound, with a deep, woody tone that is unique to Gibson. The center block with a lot of substance is very popular even in the vintage market, and this one is inspired by the so-called "early 1963 rare specs". The neck shape is slim, with a meaty grip typical of Gibson. The pickups on the 63 model were 57 Classic before and Burstbucker 1 & 2 after 2013, but the Custom Bucker pickups, which have reached the level of a classic, are also used on this special model. There is no label on the neck position, but its date and model name are clearly marked on the rear position. The tone is beautiful, clear and true to touch nuance. The capacitor is equipped with a Bumble Bee.

The body has no noticeable signs of use, with only a few minor dings and scratches. There is no unevenness in the VOS, which is common, and the impression is that it has been handled with care. Each hardware has some VOS effects, but there are no problems with operation.

The neck condition is fine, and the truss rod can be adjusted in the direction to tighten or loosen, and can still be turned and adjusted in the direction to tighten. There are no string marks on the frets and about 90% of the frets are left. Currently, the string height is adjusted at about 2.0mm on the 12F 6th string side and about 1.5mm on the 1st string side.

Overall, the condition of this guitar is in good condition with little signs of use, and can be offered to those who are considering a new one. While it has the look of a 63 spec with the so-called popular cherry-colored block position mark, its sound is similar to that of a 59 spec with a solid center block & custom backers.
