This 1999 SG Standard is the embodiment of the timeless "royal SG style.
The lightweight mahogany body with excellent handling and the responsive set neck construction produce a crisp sound that is truly the royal road of SGs. This is a guitar that is easy to play in a wide range of genres, including rock, blues, and of course, blues.
The SG Standard from the late 90s to the early 2000s was a popular generation that combined the looks of the 60s style with modern playability in a well-balanced manner. The neck is an easy-to-handle medium C shape with a rose fingerboard for a supple touch. The pickups are the royal 490R / 490T set, which is a versatile specification that combines a thick midrange with a sharp and clear sound.
The bridge is a tune-o-matic, and the tailpiece is a standard stop bar configuration. 2 volume / 2 tone / 3-way toggle switch controls are also royal, allowing for intuitive control. The nitrocellulose lacquer texture has settled down to match the age of the instrument, giving it a vintage feel typical of SGs.
There are some scratches and metal tarnish, but no noticeable damage.
The neck is in good playing condition with no noticeable abnormalities.
