USED C.F.Martin / D-25K2 made in 1980 [12]

This is an all-core body model from the first year of release. According to the literature, it is listed from 1980 to 1989, but after 501 pieces were made in the first year, only 11 pieces were produced intermittently, indicating that it was a limited model. The grain of this model is relatively plain, and it is usually called "Style-25" and "Style-37" when it is flamed, but the top and back of this model are very spirited and beautiful. The Martin engraved Sperezel pegs, which were used only for a very short period of time, are also impressive. The center plate on the back inside the body is engraved with "USE MEDIUM GAUGE OR LIGHTER STRINGS ONLY", which was used on the scalloped bracing models, as well as Martin's engraving. There are many styles that use Koa or Mahogany for the top, and they tend to give the impression of being overcompensated, but this one keeps a good balance and is not a D-25K, but a D-25K. However, this piece maintains a good balance and produces a sound that is only possible with this style, not the D-25K. The sound of the wood itself comes out, or should I say, it is a first-class product that exudes the quality of Martin guitars, although it is simple and not flashy.

The condition of this guitar has been kept in surprisingly clean condition. The guitar has a barcus-berry contact pickup 1455-3 INSIDER, and if used by an individual, you can enjoy the passive sound of the guitar as it is, as it has good characteristics. The nut is the original micarta, and the saddle has been replaced. The saddles have been replaced. The plating on some Sperzel guitars is badly peeled off, but this one is almost flawless and shiny. I strongly recommend this one for the sound first, but it also looks great, so I would push it for a small collection. Comes with original black case.
