This model is considered an out-of-catalog spec and is based on the SG Standard with Maestro Vibrato unit specification.

Initially created in 1961 as a Les Paul model, the SG has a thinner mahogany body and a double cutaway for improved playability at high frets.

The pickups are Gibson's original 490R and 498T pickups, which are modern, high-power pickups with a crisp, attacky sound that can be used in any genre of music.

The large pickguard SG is easy to handle, and has a fat tone and crispness that many people have come to expect.
There is a paint chip on the tip of the head, many scratches and dings scattered throughout, and the hardware is dull.
The strap pin has been replaced with a Schaller locking pin, and the strap side parts are included.
