Chamber processing based on "Acoustic Design
Chamber processing based on Yamaha's acoustic analysis process "Acoustic Design" has been applied to achieve rich sound and a lightweight body. Furthermore, by inserting carbon material into the body and neck, excess low frequencies are eliminated, resulting in a clear and full sound.
5-position selector
Positions 2 and 4 on the selector give a halftone-like sound of a regular 3-single coil guitar without any reduction in volume.
Focus Switch
The switch on the tone knob is Yamaha's original "focus switch. It has the effect of increasing the number of pickup windings, and allows for aggressive tone changes with an emphasis on the mid-low range.
Choice of Pickups
The lineup includes the RSP20 and RSP20X with humbuckers and the RSP02T with a P-90 type single coil. Both pickups are Yamaha's proprietary pickups and feature powerful tones with Alnico V magnets.
IRA (Initial Response Acceleration)
I.R.A. is a technology that eliminates stress between woods or between wood and paint film by applying appropriate vibration to the instrument after completion. Players know that "playing in" is important for guitars. It is said that playing in improves the sound. I.R.A. (Initial Response Acceleration) is the process by which a finished guitar is subjected to the vibrations inherent to the guitar. I.R.A. (Initial Response Acceleration) is a technique that relieves stresses between the paint and the wood by applying a vibration to the finished guitar that is unique to that guitar. This process makes the guitar sound as if it has been played and brings out the ideal body sound.
