This year, 20 years after the release of the first signature model, the AT100, Ibanez celebrates the past 20 years and announces the ATZ100, a new favorite instrument of Andy Timmons.

The new ATZ100 is an AZ model with a synchronized tremolo, designed for a new generation of guitarists and incorporating the A to Z of Ibanez's guitar-making history.

Andy, who participated in the tryouts from the development stage, saw the potential not only in the sound and playability of the AZ, which was not yet available on the market, but also in the guitar itself, and by crossing over his own ideas with the AZ, he was able to create "Andy Timmons' ATZ with A to Z. The first and foremost feature of Andy Timmons' signature guitar is the neck.
The S-Tech wood, which has been recognized by Andy and many other artists, is used in the ATZ100, and the original ATZ100 neck is narrower at the nut and slightly thicker than the AZ neck.
The oil-finished texture of the neck back, which feels comfortable in the hand as if it has been played for many years, is a special feature of the ATZ100.

The pickups are DiMarzio's The Cruiser pickups, which are Andy's signature tone, mounted in all positions.

These pickups have a unique tone that combines the sparkling overtones of single coils with a full midrange, and they are single-size humbuckers that ride well with effects pedals without hum noise.
It is also equipped with a smooth taper volume filter that suppresses the high frequency component (high drop) when the volume is turned down.

This filter, which follows the volume control linearly, is an indispensable feature for Andy's superb emotional expression.
The tremolo is a Wilkinson-Gotoh VSVG, familiar from the AT100.
The machine head uses the GOTOH MAGNUM LOCK with H.A.P. (Height Adjustable Post) function common to the AZ series, and the peg buttons have the same shape as those on the AT100, which Andy was familiar with, a specification that fans will appreciate.
