The “L Series” is a legendary line of acoustic guitars from Yamaha that continues to be cherished by top players worldwide as the brand’s pinnacle. This is the luxury edition of the “LL16 ARE,” which inherits the masterful craftsmanship cultivated over more than 40 years and embodies the exquisite tone and exceptional playability demanded by today’s era.

The instrument’s most striking feature is its luxurious appearance, reminiscent of the flagship “L36 Series.” The perimeter binding of the top and the soundhole rosette are generously adorned with beautifully shimmering abalone inlays, while the ebony fingerboard features elegant diamond-pattern position inlays. Combined with gold hardware, these elements exude an overwhelming sense of luxury and presence.

The body style adopts the traditional “Original Jumbo Body,” which produces dynamic volume and rich bass tones. It features a luxurious all-solid construction with a carefully selected solid Ingleman spruce top and high-quality solid rosewood for the sides and back.
The top wood has been treated with Yamaha’s proprietary wood modification technology, “A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement).” By precisely controlling temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, this process brings out deep harmonics—similar to those of a well-played vintage guitar—along with rich resonance that responds quickly.
The bracing features non-scalloped X-bracing, optimized into a low-profile square shape. By enhancing the fitting precision at the intersections, it achieves a tight, well-defined sound image.

The neck features a robust five-piece construction combining mahogany and rosewood, ensuring excellent rigidity against warping and twisting. A neck taper that is slightly thinner near the 10th fret, combined with a hand-beveled, rounded fingerboard edge, provides a smooth, snug grip that feels like it’s hugging your hand.Furthermore, with optimized string action balance, a design featuring wider string spacing, and a double-action truss rod capable of correcting both forward and backward bowing, the guitar delivers exceptional playability from the player’s perspective.

The electronics feature lightweight “passive-type pickups (SRT piezo elements)” that do not compromise the pure vibration of the natural acoustic sound. Since the design does not include a battery or onboard preamp inside the body, you can achieve a clear, responsive line-out signal simply by connecting a shielded cable—all without compromising the instrument’s natural acoustic resonance.Combining beautiful aesthetics with authentic tone, this is the ultimate instrument that truly stands out on stage.
