Sadowsky’s flagship value model, the MetroExpress, is now available used!

Sadowsky has long established itself as a leading brand in modern basses. If you’re a bassist, you’ve probably owned a Sadowsky at some point—or at least considered getting one.

The model we’ve just received is Sadowsky’s value-for-money offering, the MetroExpress. Updated throughout in 2024, this model has seen significant upgrades in both appearance and specifications. Based on its serial number, this unit appears to be a 2024 model produced immediately after the updates—a 4-string PJ-style model. It’s a highly versatile instrument with a modern aesthetic.

The materials include an okoume body, a roasted maple neck, and a roasted maple fingerboard. These pair perfectly with the built-in Sadowsky original preamp, allowing you to enjoy the sparkling, trebly high end that is emblematic of the NYC sound.
The controls feature the familiar layout: Volume, Selector, Bass Boost, and Treble Boost. Additionally, the Bass knob features a push/pull switch to toggle between active and passive modes. While it offers the signature Sadowsky approach, you can also achieve a unique and pleasantly rich tone by setting the Selector to the front pickup and boosting the bass.

There are some minor scratches across the body, slight discoloration on the parts, and paint chips at the joints, but overall, it shows minimal signs of use. However, the strap pins have been replaced with locking pins.
The neck is currently in good condition, and the truss rod functions smoothly.
