Teisco / 1960s Spectrum 5 Now in Stock!!

The serial number is faint and hard to see, but it reads "25X002" under the joint plate. This is an original 1960s Spectrum 5.

The Spectrum 5 is renowned as the "ultimate bizarre guitar" representative of the 1960s. It features a beautiful German-curved offset body, a 4:2 tuner layout on the headstock, a zero fret, original split pickups separated for low and high strings, a multicolored pickup selector switch, and stereo output.

This is a guitar you’ll want to use not only for classic guitar instrumentals and GS-style music but also paired with fuzz for garage and heavy distortion sounds.

The bridge cover is missing, and there are signs of wear (discoloration, warped pickguard, missing screws, weather cracks, peeling paint on the back of the neck, scratches around the edges, scuffs and playing marks, picking marks, tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, and other cosmetic damage). The switches have become brittle due to age.

Additionally, the frets and tone knobs have been replaced; the Spectrum 5 logo is cracked; and there is slight warping of the pickguard due to a partial crack.

While this guitar has the distinctive sound characteristic of Bizarre Guitars, its playability is fully intact. We hope you will consider this opportunity.

Teisco / 1960s Spectrum 5
