A 2022 Gibson USA Les Paul Standard 60s Faded has arrived.
Its pristine appearance might tempt us to rate it as "A: Excellent Condition," but since there are scattered dents, scratches, and scuffs on various parts of the guitar, we have rated it as "B+ Condition."
These imperfections are few enough to be easily overlooked, and combined with the matte texture of the Faded finish, they may appear as merely minor traces.
The finish color is Vintage Cherry Sunburst, and looking at the photographs of this specific guitar as it was when new, it has the typical reddish hue of a Cherry Sunburst.
However, despite its relatively short age, the faded finish—which resembles a matte clear coat rather than a glossy topcoat—shows signs of fading. The color is reminiscent of R Company’s Fyglo colors, resulting in a pale cherry sunburst that evokes the image of cherry blossoms, making this a truly unique instrument.
There are signs of tarnish on the nickel-plated metal parts. Additionally, the exterior of the hard case lid shows fading and discoloration due to age.
