1. Deeper top and back contours for a more integrated feel during performance
To ensure a natural fit when holding the guitar, the back contour has been deepened. Additionally, the top contour (where the elbow rests) has been changed from a straight contour to a rounded one, improving the fit and comfort of the arm.

2. Slim C Shape for Modern Playing Styles
Incorporating feedback from players in both Japan and the U.S., we’ve adopted a Slim C-shaped neck that accommodates a wide range of styles, from lead to rhythm. The “Standard Plus” features a 42.00mm TUSQ nut. The roll-off on the sides of the fingerboard is highly precise, and the neck thickness is set to 20.00mm at the 1st fret and 22.4mm at the 12th fret.This design ensures stress-free playing for both open and power chords, delivering exceptional playability.

The Professional series features a compound radius
A compound radius is a high-precision tapered fretboard design where the R-value of the fretboard gradually increases from the lower to the upper positions (the R becomes more gradual—meaning it is rounder in the lower positions and flatter as you move up the fretboard). This design helps prevent choking when bending strings in the upper positions and is recommended for players who prefer a lower string action.

3. The "Reflectone" Hi-Fi Pickup, Developed in Collaboration with Rupert Neve Design
Developed and manufactured in-house by Yamaha in collaboration with Rupert Neve Design—founded by Rupert Neve, the man behind numerous legendary pro audio devices. Utilizing Alnico V magnets, Yamaha conducted extensive research and development from the ground up regarding the number of windings, winding method, and pole piece height. The result is a highly balanced pickup that combines powerful low-end with "sparkling" high-end.

4. Acoustic Design-Based Sound Analysis Technology
"Acoustic Design" is a design process that utilizes Yamaha’s proprietary acoustic analysis and 3D modeling. To emphasize the midrange through "enhanced coupled vibration" between the body and neck, and to reproduce tight, clear bass by adjusting the low-frequency vibration, the following modifications have been applied.
