A distinctive vintage bass created by Gibson in the early 1980s.
Featuring a maple body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 34-inch scale, and 24 frets on the treble side, it is equipped with a single Series VIIIB humbucker. In addition to Volume and Tone controls, it features a Series/Parallel switch, allowing it to deliver a wide range of tones—from a thick, powerful sound to a tight, clear sound—despite having only one pickup. Another unique feature of this model is its bolt-on construction, which is rare for a Gibson bass.

The serial number is 83381633, and the instrument is believed to have been manufactured in 1981. The pickup is a vinyl-wound type, and a date stamp reading “437 981” is visible on the back. Although the tone pot appears to be from 1977, it’s possible that an old stock pot was used, so it cannot be definitively determined to be a replacement. Note that the volume pot has been replaced.

This is a guitar that allows you to enjoy the unique, creative design typical of early 1980s Gibson models, as well as the distinctive presence of the Victory Bass Standard, which has become a rarity today.
The cavity and the underside of the pickguard have been shielded with aluminum and copper foil.
A finger rest has been retrofitted. Additionally, there is some paint peeling near the finger rest.
There is paint distortion on the underside of the joint plate. There is a paint crack on the right-hand cutaway.
In addition, there are scratches, dents, paint chips, and rust on the metal parts throughout the instrument, indicating signs of use.
The neck has a 6th-string upward bow and a 1st-string downward bow, resulting in some twisting. The string action is slightly higher than standard, but it does not interfere with playability.
Condition Grade: B: Shows significant scratches and signs of use, but is suitable for normal use.
