USED Fender Japan / JB-STD Black [11]

A standard Jazz Bass model manufactured during the "Made in Japan" era in the mid-1990s.

The Fender Japan "JB-STD" is a model that has long been popular for its traditional Jazz Bass styling, combined with the reliable quality and playability characteristic of Japanese-made instruments. Based on the "U" serial number, this particular instrument is believed to have been manufactured around 1995–1996, making it a model from the so-called late MIJ era.

Inside the body, markings for the "JB-62" (11.2.11 / 23.2.18) are visible, while the neck bears the "JB-STD" designation; therefore, it is possible that the parts configuration is a mix-and-match or a repurposed setup.However, the body specifications of the JB-62 and JB-STD share many common features (basswood body, magnet bar pickups, vintage-style saddles, etc.), so this configuration does not present any significant practical issues.

It features a basswood body paired with a maple neck and an orthodox control layout driven by two single-coil pickups. Characterized by tight, well-defined bass and a clear midrange, it firmly embodies the "classic Jazz Bass sound" that is easy to play across all genres.
The pickguard was missing, so a non-original replacement has been installed. During installation, five screw holes were repaired and corrected.
There is some paint chipping on the body side. There are some minor scratches and dents, and it shows moderate signs of use.
There are no noticeable issues with the neck, and it is in good playing condition.
