1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom '54 / Black

Gibson Les Paul Custom 54 Reissue! The Les Paul Custom was born in late 1953 as a higher-end model of the Les Paul model, and was nicknamed "Black Beauty" for its black finish and gold parts. It was equipped with Alnico V and P-90 pickups at the time of its debut, but like the Les Paul model, it was replaced by humbucker pickups in 1957, and in 1961, the body shape was changed to SG, and production of Les Pauls was discontinued for a while. 　In 1968, the Les Paul was reintroduced with a new mahogany back and maple top, while the original 1954 Custom had an all-mahogany body.
