The original Boden Standard Series guitars were developed with solid body construction, proprietary pickup designs, and figured maple top veneers, while retaining the key features that have made our guitars so highly regarded. This reduces costs and provides a product line that offers excellent value and top performance. Solid bodies have a distinctly different kind of sound and response than chambered bodies, but this is not a good or bad thing, just different and a matter of personal preference. Over the years, Boden Standard Series guitars have become our most popular product line, and now the entire line has been further improved with new NX features that take performance to the next level while maintaining the value of the Standard Series.

Standard NX models feature a new neck joint curve and arm cut for improved comfort and playability, and EGS Rev 7 hardware for added robustness, ease of maintenance, and enhanced acoustic tone characteristics. The acclaimed .strandberg* OEM pickups are designed from the ground up and wound according to strict specifications to deliver a wide range of great sounds, from vintage cleans to extreme high-gain distortion, faithfully covering nearly every playing style and musical genre. The Boden Standard NX was developed to offer most of the premium features found on models like the Original, Prog, and Fusion, but with a solid American basswood body, flame maple veneers, and our own specially designed pickups. The result is the Boden guitar. The result is a line of guitars that offers all of the features and key functions of a Boden guitar at an excellent value for the working musician. All Standard models feature quarter-sawn maple necks and fingerboards with EndurNeck profiles, Luminlay® faces and side dots, Jescar stainless steel frets, and, like all NX model guitars, innovative .strandberg* EGS Rev 7 EGS Rev 7 hardware.
