McCarty* From the manufacturer's website
Ted McCarty left a great mark on the electric guitar world in the late 1950s. The McCarty model, born from the relationship between Mr. McCarty and Paul Reed Smith, blends the technology and design of PRS Guitars with the essence of the great guitars of the golden age. The bound 22-fret neck is moderately thick-walled to enhance tone and sustain, and features special 58/15 LT pickups that have undergone a TCI (tuned capacitance & inductance) process. The 58/15 LT is also a vintage-style pickup, focusing on clarity and midrange, combined with a push/pull tone control and a 3-way toggle switch for a wide range of sonic variations.

And the McCarty model features brass studs and vintage-style tuners.

The McCarty model is a very simple guitar design," says McCarty. "Everything that touches the strings is the most important element of the guitar's sound. That is specifically the bridge, nut, and tuners. So in developing our McCarty model, we've up-dated these parts, which has allowed us to significantly improve the tone." Paul Reed Smith said.

In the late 1980s, Paul Reed Smith consulted with Ted McCarty on guitar design and construction techniques, an exchange that later led to the release of the first McCarty in 1994, McCarty guitars incorporate all the skills and knowledge Paul acquired from Ted, as well as Paul's own experience as a guitar builder.

From now on, the number of PRS guitars in Japan will be limited compared to the past. This means that the percentage of high quality guitars has increased, which will inevitably increase the number of people who are looking for the same guitars. 1950年代後半、エレクトリック・ギター界に偉大な足跡を残したテッド・マカーティ氏。そんなマカーティ氏とポール・リード・スミスとのリレーションから生まれたモデル「McCarty」は、PRSギターズの技術とデザインに、黄金時代の名機のエッセンスをブレンドしたギターと言えます。バウンドが施された22フレットのネックは、トーンとサステインを強化する事を考慮した程よい肉厚になっており、TCI(チューンド・キャパシタンス&インダクタンス)のプロセスを経た特別な58/15 LTのピックアップを搭載。また、58/15 LTはビンテージスタイルのピックアップで、明瞭さと中音域に焦点を当て、プッシュ/プルのトーンコントロールと3ウェイのトグルスイッチを組み合わせる事により、幅広いサウンド・ヴァリエーションを可能にしています。

そして、McCartyモデルは、真鍮製のスタッドとビンテージスタイルのチューナーを搭載。
