Celebrating PRS’s 40th anniversary, the 40th Anniversary Custom 24-08 Semi-Hollow Limited Edition has arrived.

The Custom 24-08 inherits the core specifications of the original Custom 24—which debuted in 1985 as PRS’s flagship model—while featuring the latest TCI pickups and an EQ mini-toggle switch to create an even wider range of sounds.This Limited Edition features special specifications that differ from the standard model, including a semi-hollow body, a ziricote fingerboard and headstock veneer, and “old school” bird inlays.

This model features a 10-Top grade figured maple top, a mahogany back and neck, and a ziricote fingerboard. All components undergo PRS’s proprietary wood-drying process, resulting in a neck that remains stable and resistant to environmental changes, and a body that maximizes string vibration. Furthermore, the semi-hollow construction—which incorporates an F-hole—not only lends the guitar an elegant appearance but also produces a high-quality tone with depth and richness.

Another major feature of this model is the latest TCI pickup, which incorporates new American-made Alnico magnets and an updated manufacturing process to produce a sound with even more definition and musical resonance than ever before. Additionally, the two EQ mini-toggle switches function as high-pass filters; when engaged, they shelve the low frequencies, allowing the high frequencies to resonate with greater clarity and musicality.

Additionally, the neck—featuring the 24 frets and 25-inch scale length familiar to PRS players—offers intuitive playability the moment you pick it up, while the original Gen III tremolo and Phase III locking tuners ensure exceptional tuning stability.
