Main Features
Rosewood fretboard with Stainless Frets
For the first time, rosewood, which is known for its balanced sound character and warm tone, is used on the AZ.
This material is ideal for the AZ-N, which is being developed with a focus on clean tones that can be used in a wider range of genres.
Compound Radius (228mm to 305mm) Fretboard
The compound radius fretboard is designed to accommodate both low-position chord forms and high-fret lead playing.
Seymour Duncan(R) Fortuna(TM) pickups w/dyna-MIX 9 switching system
Compared to the Hyperion(TM) pickups developed in collaboration with Seymour Duncan(R) for the AZ-N, these pickups were developed for a more natural clean tone that can be used in a wide range of genres, and for ease in producing playing nuances: Fortuna(TM).
This medium output pickup is designed to be compatible with a variety of pedal effects that can be used in different situations.
It features the dyna-MIX 9 switching system that, in combination with the Alter switch, creates 9 different sound variations, including a mode in which two single-coil pickups are wired in series.
Non-recessed bridge cavity
Unlike conventional AZ models, the top surface of the body is not recessed. The bridge plate is in direct contact with the body of the guitar, which improves the expressive power of the sound and the reproducibility of the playing nuance, as well as the excellent resonance.
5 tremolo springs w/muting rubber
Five springs are used to more effectively transmit string vibration to the body.
Equipped with a rubber spring mute to suppress the "resonance/resonance" of the springs.
