The “Ibanez AZ Series” has established a solid reputation for its high practicality, catering to today’s diverse music scenes and playing styles.This model features a premium wood configuration, combining a 4mm-thick flamed maple top that showcases beautiful grain patterns with a basswood back that offers flat, neutral acoustic characteristics. Furthermore, as the latest state-of-the-art model in the Japanese-made Prestige line, it adopts the long-awaited “HSH (humbucker/single-coil/humbucker)” pickup configuration for the AZ Series, enabling even more versatile sound shaping.

The neck and fingerboard are lavishly crafted from “S-TECH WOOD” roasted maple, which has undergone a patented nitrogen-heating treatment. It boasts exceptional stability against warping, twisting, and environmental changes, and is finished with an oil finish that provides a comfortable feel, much like an instrument that has been played for many years.The “AZ Oval C” shape—derived from meticulous profiling of numerous necks, both from our own and other manufacturers—balances ease of grip in the lower frets with classical fingering in the higher frets.Features include smooth, ball-milled comfort edges; jumbo stainless steel frets with Prestige Fret Edge Treatment; Luminlay (phosphorescent) side dots for visibility on dark stages; and the “Super All Access” neck joint, recessed 8 mm from the back of the body—all combining to deliver stress-free, supreme playability.

The electronics feature DiMarzio pickups, which enjoy overwhelming support from top guitarists worldwide. The combination includes the “Air Norton” (neck), boasting warm and clear sustain; the “True Velvet” (middle), producing bright, cutting clean tones; and the high-powered “The Tone Zone” (bridge), delivering overwhelming low-to-midrange response and dynamics.The 5-way lever selector allows you to produce any sound you desire, regardless of genre—from heavy metal and rock riffs to clear, cutting half-tones and singing lead tones.

The hardware features Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads with rear-mounted screws for quick string changes and excellent pitch stability, an oil-impregnated cowbone nut, and a “Gotoh T1502S” tremolo bridge equipped with steel saddles and a steel inertia block.
