The sound is massive! Vintage Rickenbacker steel!"

This is a rare steel guitar that was introduced around 1950 and discontinued in 1953. The body and neck are made of stamped metal, and it has a thick tone and sustain.
Pickups appear to have been replaced (not horseshoe). There is some rust, tarnish, and dirt scattered throughout, but it is commensurate with the age of the instrument. Both necks have damage to the paint film under the fingerboard transparency. The overall craftsmanship is rough, and it is difficult to tell how much of this is original condition, but a large area of the inside of the body has been coated with what appears to be silicone, and the wiring and pots have been replaced. The wiring and pots have been replaced. There is some hum when you take your hand off the strings, but it is tolerable. When the neck selector switch is set to the center position, the guitar is in standby mode. One of the set screw holes on the switch plate is missing, but the hole is covered with paint. The heads of the other screws are also covered with paint, suggesting that the entire plate was painted after the screws were removed. The back cover is supposed to be fastened with 12 screws, but 4 screws are missing. There are traces of tape-like material applied to the back cover and the back of the head. Some peg shafts are slightly bent, but this does not affect tuning.
The upper (front) neck is in B11th tuning, and the lower (front) neck is in C6th tuning. There is some rust on the strings, but we do not carry replacement strings, so we are selling it as is. Please understand.
It is in PLAYER'S CONDITION, but a lap-able 8-string double neck steel is a rare find. You can enjoy the core tone and rich sustain of a Rickenbacker.
