The Fender Custom Shop represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship from Fender, the undisputed pioneer of the electric bass.
This newly arrived 1960 model features sexy, dense weather checking. The stacked knobs, a hallmark of this era, have been faithfully reproduced.

Based on the "64 J-Bass" model, it features a 2-piece alder body, a quarter-sawn maple neck in the "60 J-Bass C" shape, 20 Vintage Upgrade-sized frets, and a flat AAA rosewood fingerboard—classic, tried-and-true materials.For the pickups, we’ve selected the “Vintage J-Bass REL,” another classic from the Fender Custom Shop.

The sound is rich and powerful, centered around a low-mid range that is both resilient and focused. True to its stacked-knob design, the brilliance is slightly subdued, and the solid, grounded low end is of a quality that is simply beyond words.

Due to the relic finish, it’s hard to say for certain, but there are no new damages that significantly detract from the appearance.
The neck is in perfect condition. The truss rod functions properly. There is plenty of fret life remaining. There are almost no signs of use.
