This is a Hummingbird made in 1998. This is a regular spec model of the time with Grover Rotomatic pegs and scalloped bracing, but was sold under the trade name Early 60s Hummingbird from 1997 to 1999. Pickups are not equipped.
The pickguard appears to be non-genuine and has a protective film on the surface. There are some dents, scratches, pinking scratches, belt buckle scratches, and some chipping on the headstock at the front and back ends and at the top edge of the back side, as well as some slight dents on the fingerboard due to wear. The fingerboard is slightly dented from wear. The paint film has some weather checking and fogging, and the plating on the metal parts is tarnished, but there is no noticeable damage. A strap pin has been retrofitted to the neck heel.
The neck angle has been adjusted (ironed) by our repairman, and the truss rod has been checked for 60 degrees left and right. The frets have been rubbed together with no dents, and more than 80% of the fret height remains. Both playability and sound are perfect.
It plays well with a dry tone. It has a vintage look and feel, and is a very practical instrument.

「鳴ります！プレイヤーズ・コンディションのハミングバード！」

1998年製のハミングバードです。グローヴァー・ロトマティック・ペグ、スキャロップド・ブレーシングが採用された当時のレギュラー仕様モデルですが、1997年から1999年にかけてアーリー60sハミングバードの商品名で販売されていました。ピックアップは未装備です。
ピックガードは非純正のようで、表面には保護フィルムが貼られています。打痕、引っ掻き傷、ピンキング傷、ベルト・バックル傷が散見され、ヘッドストックの左右表裏の各突端及び裏側頂上エッジ部に若干の欠けが、また指板には摩耗による僅かな凹みも確認できます。塗膜にはウェザー・チェックや曇りが、金属部品のメッキにはくすみが発生しているなど、プレイヤーズ・コンディションの外観ではありますが、著しく目立つダメージはありません。ネック・ヒールにストラップ・ピンが後付けされています。
弊社リペアマンによるネック・アングル調整済(アイロン)で、トラス・ロッドは左右60度の動作確認済です。フレットは擦り合わせ済で凹みはなく、高さは8割以上残っています。演奏性、サウンドともに申し分ありません。
乾いた音色で良く鳴ってくれます。使用感、経年変化はありますが、ヴィンテージに通じる風合いも出ており、実用性の高い一本と言えそうです。
