The StingRay we have just received was made in the USA in 2008. It is one of the "original" StingRays, so to speak, although it is no longer in production. It has the familiar specs of ash body and maple neck, but the fingerboard is made of rosewood, which is not so unusual for StingRay, but many people may have a strong image of maple fingerboard. However, this rosewood fretboard is not only cool looking, but also has a sound that is not too hard, and it is a perfect fit without losing the strong sharpness that is the character of the StingRay.
