Fender Custom Shop/Master Build Series Custom Telecaster Alan Hamel made in 1993 is now in stock!

This is a Custom Telecaster made by Alan Hamel, a master builder in the early days of Fender Custom Shop.
The body is made of ash and the neck is made of quarter-sawn flame maple.
The fingerboard is made of black ebony. The neck grip is soft V-shaped.
Although details are unknown, it is assumed that the original guitar was a 3-pickup model, and the body has a large square shaped counterbore for the front pickup.
Alan Hamel's signature and Custom Shop logo are printed on the back of the head.

There is a single coil pickup on the front and a Seymour Duncan single size humbucker on the rear pickup.
A mini-switch (Siripala tap) has been added, although the details are unknown.
This guitar has power and can be played with a variety of tones from clean to distorted.

The head sticker logo is partially peeled off (the entire head is easily peeled off), and there are burn marks near the 6th string peg on the head, as well as scratches and dings throughout the guitar.
The bottom of the hard case has some tears.
The pickups, mini switch, and bridge have been replaced with a modern type bridge unit.
The pickups, mini-switches, and bridge have been replaced with modern type bridge units.

This is a valuable piece of work by Alan Hamel, the first master builder of this instrument!
Although it has been modified, the sound and quality are outstanding!
