USED FENDER USA / Precision Bass 3-Color Sunburst 1966-1967 [03]

The Precision Bass was introduced in 1951 as the world's first fretted electric bass. In the years since then, it has evolved and has been loved by many people as it is now. This time we have a rare one from the mid-1960s, which is one of the most rare and valuable vintage basses in the world.

Alder body with fine black paint like mid 1960's. The surface has almost no luster. There is almost no luster left on the surface, and the buckle marks, paint chips, and weather checks that are all over the neck and head are breathtaking. The body has a look of having spent a long time in the world. The neck is made of maple, and the fingerboard is judged to be rosewood from the color and conduit.

The sound is characterized by the smooth expression of the mellow mid to high range while having the fullness of a plebe-like sound. The entire sound is clear and elegant, with outstanding depth and luster.

The serial number is "152604. The neck date is "5AUG66C" (5 = model code for Precision Bass AUG = made in August 66 = made in 1966 C = string nut width). Pot date is "3046617" on the tone side (304 = made by Stackpole 66 = made in 1966 17 = week 17). The volume side is "304? 7" on the volume side. The volume side is "304????????????????????????????????????????????". Both pickups are marked "66" and there is no sign of replacement, so we judged that all the electrical components are original. The frets are a little low, but there is no problem for playing.

This is a 60s that has been loved by many players.
