Usher is a boutique guitar company in Los Angeles founded by Bill Usher in 1982. The company not only makes guitars, but also restores and repairs guitars, and has been trusted by Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Ben Harper, and the late David Lindley. He is also famous for his wrap steels that incorporate the Weisenborn body shape, which he began making at the request of Ben Harper. This model is a popular price version made in Asia. The name "Hawaiian" is in the product name, but it is quite a rocking steel guitar.
There are some dings, scratches, and scuffs. The damage on the back side of the body is extensive, with some dents and cracks in the paint, which are slightly noticeable, but not unsightly. There is also some slight tarnishing of metal parts. Includes a non-genuine acoustic guitar soft case (Faith).
Mahogany body and neck and two humbuckers produce a fat sound similar to Gibson's SG and Les Paul Junior. This item is suitable not only for Hawaiian and country music, but also for blues, rock, and Sacred Steel. This is one that we recommend.

アッシャーは1982年にビル・アッシャーが創設したロサンゼルスのブティック・ギター・カンパニー。ギター製作のみならず、レストア、リペア・ワークもこなし、ジャクソン・ブラウン、ニール・ヤング、ベン・ハーパー、故デイヴィッド・リンドレーらに信頼を寄せられています。ベン・ハーパーのリクエストをきっかけに作り始めたワイゼンボーンのボディ・シェイプを取り入れたラップ・スティールでも有名。当モデルはアジア製の普及価格版。商品名に"Hawaiian”と入っておりますが、なかなかロックなスティール・ギターです。
打痕、引っ掻き傷、擦り傷が確認できます。ボディのバック側のダメージは広範囲で多少の凹みや塗膜の亀裂を伴っているものがあり、若干目立ちますが、著しく見苦しいダメージはありません。金属部品に僅かなくすみの発生もあります。非純正のアコースティック・ギター用ソフト・ケース(Faithの物)が付属します。
マホガニー・ボディ＆ネックと2基のハムバッカーが生み出す野太いサウンドはギブソンのSGやレスポール・ジュニアに通じる物です。ハワイアン、カントリーのみならず、ブルース、ロック、セイクリッド・スティールなどにもマッチするアイテムです。お勧めの一本です。
