Jason Smith is the son of Dan Smith, who was the marketing director of Fender and is considered to be one of the people who led Fender to success after the company suffered from poor sales in the 80's. Jason Smith has seen many Fender products since he was a child. Jason Smith is the son of Dan Smith, who was one of the first to lead Fender from the beginning of his childhood.
In 1995, he joined Fender like his father and studied under the legendary master builder John English.
In 2006, he was promoted to the position of master builder, and he is still one of the most popular master builders, creating many artist models with his excellent technique and unique sense of style.
We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 2010 Fender Custom Shop/Master Built Series 1964 Stratocaster NOS Lake Placid Blue by Jason Smith, which was ordered by a music store at the time and handcrafted by Jason Smith!

This is a 60's Stratocaster with a 2-piece alder body and a rift-sawn maple neck.
The fingerboard is a 9.5R rounded Indian rosewood fingerboard with 21 6150 frets.
This model has been scalloped later.
The neck grip is a slim 60's style C-shape, which fits easily in the hand.
The body color is the popular Lake Placid Blue. The vivid color gives the guitar a very atmospheric look.

Three black bobbin type pickups are installed.
The controls are MasterVolume, Tone1 (Neck PU), and Tone2 (Middle & Bridge PU).
This guitar has a bright sound with a good power and a good sound extraction, which is typical of Strat single-coil pickups.

The condition of the guitar is NOS finish, but there are some scratches, dents, and parts that are dull and rusty.
Also, the pickguard is discolored and there are some picking scratches.

The fingerboard is scalloped as mentioned above and there are some signs of use, but there are no problems with playability.

This 1964 Strat was built by Jason Smith, one of the most popular master builders in the world!
The cool Lake Placid blue body and 64 specs are reproduced on this rare Strat.
The price is relatively low considering the use and processing, so please take advantage of this opportunity!
