Gibson Memphis manufactured many ES-335s, ES-175s, and other semi-acos and full-acos until its closure in 2018.
We now have a 2014 Gibson MEMPHIS /Historic Series 1959 ES-175 Reissue VOS Vintage Natural in stock!

The ES-175 was released in 1949 as a new attempt to convert the archtop guitars of the past into electric guitars.
In 1957, the P-90 pickups were replaced by PAF humbucker pickups, and it is still one of the most popular models in the ES series.
The ES-175 Reissue 1959 ES-175 is a one-pickup version of the 1959 model, reproduced down to the finest details.

The body specs include a maple and poplar 3-ply top and sides, with a maple back.
The neck is made of 1-piece mahogany and the fingerboard is laminated with rosewood.
The neck shape is a little thicker than typical for this year.
In addition to the crown inlay on the head, double parallelogram inlay on the fingerboard is typical ES-175 specification.

One original "57 Classic" pickup is installed.
Controls are simple, with 1Vol and 1Tone.
The sound of the 57 Classic is similar to that of the PAF humbuckers of the time, with crisp high mids and sweet overtones.

The condition of the guitar has some scratches and dullness due to the VOS finish, and there are some paint cracks on the fretboard binding.
The strap pin and control knob on the back side of the body have been replaced.
Although there are some replaced parts, there are no significant scratches or dents, and there are no problems with the playing condition.

This is a Gibson Memphis ES-175, which is still very popular even after its closure!
