We are pleased to announce the arrival of a mid-1966 Mustang.

The Student model was developed to promote Fender guitars at a price point affordable to students. It was a junior-sized model with a smaller body shape and shorter scale, and was developed in 1964 along with the Duo-Sonic II and Musicmaster II.
The model is equipped with a dynamic vibrato tremolo unit with a large range of motion characteristic of mustangs, and a slide switch pickup switch with three positions, which enables a unique phase-out sound output.

The pickups are equipped with the "Gray Bobbi" pickups from the original late '64 model.
Rear pickup is marked "7-25 66" and front pickup is marked "8-5 66".
The neck stamp has a B neck specification with "16JUN66B" notation, the pot date is stamped "304-6618" in both places, and a ceramic capacitor, commonly known as a "Circle D" capacitor, is installed, all of which are in original condition.

The nut has been changed to a brass one, and string guides have been added to the 3rd and 4th strings, but the string guides on the 1st and 2nd strings are genuine white nylon spacers.

The neck condition is fine and has been fretted and adjusted, and a shim has been placed in the neck pocket.

There are some weather checks, color burn, dents, scratches, and paint chips.
In addition, the logo decal has deteriorated, the pickguard has shrunk, and some of the hardware is rusted.

The large headstock is similar to that of Strat, which was changed from the end of 1965, the transition logo with "DES.169,062 204,098" and "OFFSET~" decal on the top of the head, F-key pegs and pearloid dots, which were used in the late '65. You can enjoy the unique specifications of the era.
The serial number is from the middle period, but the logo decal on the head is from the later period.

The neck is in player's condition, with a brass nut, string guide, and B neck for a familiar grip.
The sound is much thicker than conventional mustangs, and it has a strong presence both in clean and drive mode.

This is a recommended instrument that can be used immediately with its vintage style!

1966年中期のMustangが入荷いたしました。

Fenderギターを広めるために学生でも購入しやすい価格帯で開発されたスチューデントモデル。小ぶりなボディシェイプと短めなスケールを採用したジュニアサイズのモデルとなり、1964年にDuo-Sonic IIやMusicmaster IIとともに開発されました。
ムスタング独自の大きな可動域が特徴的なダイナミック・ヴィブラート・トレモロユニットを搭載し、ピックアップスイッチはスライドスイッチ仕様の3ポジションとなり、独特なフェイズアウトサウンドを出力可能としたモデルとなります。

ピックアップにはオリジナルの64年度後期より搭載された「グレイ・ボビ」を搭載。
リアピックアプには「7-25 66」、フロントピックアップには「8-5 66」の表記がございます。
ネックスタンプには「16JUN66B」表記のBネック仕様、ポットデイトには2箇所とも「304-6618」の刻印、コンデンサには通称「サークルD」と呼ばれるセラミックコンデンサが搭載されており、これらすべてオリジナルの状態を保っております。

ナットはブラスのものへ変更、3・4弦にストリングスガイドが増設されておりますが、1・2弦側のストリングスガイドは純正の白いナイロン製のスペンサーが使用されたものとなります。

フレット残量は5割ほどとなっており、ネックコンディションは問題なくフレットすり合わせ調整済み、現状ネックポケットにはシムが一枚挟まれて調整されております。

全体的に経年によるウェザーチェックが入っており、色焼け、打痕や線傷、塗装欠けなどがございます。
その他にロゴデカールの劣化、ピックガードの縮みや一部ハードウェアのサビなど年代相応の使用感が見受けられます。

65年末期より変更されたストラトと同様のラージヘッドストック、66年後期に見られる「DES.169,062 204,098」が表記されたトランジションロゴとヘッド先端に貼られた「OFFSET～」のデカール、65年末期より採用されたFキーペグ、パーロイド・ドットなど年代ならではの仕様が味わえます。
シリアルナンバーは中期のものとなりますが、ヘッドのロゴデカールは後期のものとなりますので過渡期にあたる個体と思われます。

ブラスナットへの変更やストリングスガイドの増設、ネックも馴染みのあるグリップ感のBネックが採用されているなどプレイヤーズコンディションです。
サウンドも従来のムスタングに比べかなり太く、クリーンでもドライブでも存在感あるサウンドをアウトプットしてくれます。

ヴィンテージの風格をしっかりともちながらも即戦力でお使いいただけるオススメの個体です！
