USED BOSS / OD-1 Over Drive μPC4741C [03]

This memorable model was the first compact effects pedal series in the history of BOSS, released in 1977, and was also the world's first overdrive. This pedal was loved by professionals and amateurs alike until its production ended in the 1980s.

OVER DRIVE
The OD-1 overdrive is an effect pedal that produces a mild and natural distortion (overdrive) that sounds like a tube amp turned up to its full potential while maintaining the original sound of the guitar. Unlike strong distortion, it can express subtle nuances of picking and fingering techniques more than adequately, and does not disrupt the balance of the ensemble. It is widely used as the prototype of overdrive in the world.

This unit was made in Japan.

From the serial, it is believed to be made in 1979.
