This lap steel guitar was designed by Bill Usher, a California builder who has worked on instruments for Jackson Browne, Ben Harper, and others. The unique body shape is reminiscent of the Model Weisenborn. The Electro Hawaiian Junior is a low-cost model made in Asia, but it offers good cost performance and is used by professional musicians.
It has a through-neck construction with solid mahogany body and neck, and rosewood fingerboard. It is equipped with two humbuckers and has a wild and powerful sound. Despite the "Hawaiian" in the name, this is a modern lap steel suitable for overdriven rock and blues playing. The nut side of the strings has a wide feel and does not cause any stress when playing with hammering on or springing off.

The year of this particular piece is unknown, but the design of the bridge suggests it is a relatively early product. There is no noticeable damage, with only a few dents, light scratches, scuffs, and slight tarnishing of metal parts visible.
A non-genuine soft case is included. The fit is not bad. It has only one zipper originally.

ジャクソン・ブラウン、ベン・ハーパーらの楽器を手掛けるカリフォルニアのビルダー、ビル・アッシャーのデザインによるラップ・スティール・ギター。モデルワイゼンボーンを思わせるボディ・シェイプがユニークです。エレクトロ・ハワイアン・ジュニアはアジア製の廉価モデルですが、コスト・パフォーマンスが良好でプロのミュージシャンも使用しています。
スルー・ネック構造で、ボディ、ネックにはソリッド・マホガニー、指板にはローズウッドが採用されています。ハムバッカーを2基搭載しており、野太くパワフルなサウンドが特徴。名称には「ハワイアン」が付きますが、オーバードライブさせたロック、ブルースの演奏にも向いた現代的なラップ・スティールです。ナット側の弦の感覚が広く、ハンマリング・オンやプリング・オフなどを駆使した演奏にもストレスを感じさせません。

当個体の年式は不明ですが、ブリッジのデザインから比較的初期の製品と思われます。僅かに打痕や軽度の引っ掻き傷、擦り傷、僅かな金属部品のくすみが確認できる程度で、目立つダメージはありません。
非純正のソフト・ケースが付属します。フィット感は悪く有りません。ジッパーが元々一つしか付かないタイプです。
